Local poet, host, and stage manager who has been a working member of Miami's performing arts community. Born and raised in Miami as well, she has been a vital member of the performing arts community for over seven years. She has since directed several plays for Miami One Acts including: Interview (Johnathan Rose),
The Catch (Eric Rodriguez and Charles Smothers), and Burying Shakespeare in Hialeah (William Cabrera).
As Co-Founder of Miami's Best Open Mic (2014) Artistic Vibes, her love of the stage and desire to build Miami's art community in the heart of the Miami Falls Area are inspiring.
A local actor, singer, and teaching artist. She has been the Artistic Director at AV Kids Miami for the last five years and a member of Miami's performing arts community for over ten. Born and raised in Miami, her professional career began with an internship at Miami's New Theatre where her love for performance began. She has since gone on to co-found Artistic Vibes and AV Kids Miami providing a home and training center for artists of all ages. She has produced over thirty plays and summer acting intensives with AVK. She is proud to have worked with several theatre companies all over South Florida as an actor, director, and stage manager bringing years of professional experience to AVK's programming.
VANESSA LYNN THOMPSON
A local actor and teaching artist. She trained with the Actor's Movement Studio in New York and received her Bachelor's degree in Performance from Florida International University. She has worked with the Miami Theater Center as a teaching artist and produced community acting/movement sessions at the South-Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center. Her theater physical training is based on Viewpoints, Michael Chekhov, and Jerzy Grotowski. She is a company member of Miami's New Theater and the American Laboratory Theater based in Hope, Idaho.
